I'm here at a favorite late night hangout of mine. This is also a scratch kitchen with a limited, very high quality menu. For my first drink, I'm having a Comet's Tail made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, ginger orange syrup and Angostura bitters. This is good! It's string too! That is a moonshine maraschino cherry in there! I love it! For my appetizer, I'm having the Seared Blackened Ahi Tuna which is pan seared with a lime. Look at that cool lime twist garnish! This tastes great! Easy to eat. Very light on the stomach. I ate the last of it! For my next drink, I'm trying the Alien Orchard made with Crown Apple whiskey and cranberry juice. Oh, it's a martini! This is good! It's not too strong and is well balanced. For my entree, I'm having the Roasted Chicken Breast with orange ginger sauce and seasonal veggies (fresh veggies on hand). OMG! This is fantastic! Cauliflower. Oh yeah. The chicken is moist and tasty! That's a big portion! This is the bomb! For my final drink, I'm having a Negroni. The Negroni is a classic Italian cocktail known for its balanced bitter, herbal, and sweet flavors. Invented in Florence in the early 1900s, it's typically made with equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, and garnished with an orange peel. The Negroni is complex and refreshing, with notes of juniper, grapefruit, and citrus. The sweet vermouth balances the bitter and herbal notes, making it suitable for all seasons. This was made just perfectly! What a great meal here!

Nice chill spot, especially since there isn't much in this area for night entertainment. One pool table, 1.50 a game. Late night Happy Hour starts at 10p. Full menu with large, flavorful portions available til 2am. Some nights they have events & also a nice space to hold personal events.

I've been wanting to try this place for dinner, based largely on the stellar reviews, for months and tonight was finally the night. Had the fried chicken and my partner had Buffalo chicken + pasta. Both were delicious and uniquely flavored. If you're looking for high-quality comfort-style food, this is the place!

My daughter and I decided to meet here for dinner last month for my birthday. She had the shepherds pie and I had the fried fish and...with mac'n'cheese and brussel sprouts. She loved her shepherds pie -and- my fried fish and sides were cooked to perfection. Ganymead is a one man operation and everything Ben did (food, drinks, and service) was OUTSTANDING!!! I will be coming back and I hope to have my Bruthas with me...when we meet up we can drop some serious coinage.

My husband and I stopped here tonight for dinner - everything was GREAT! My husband had the shepherd's pie with glazed carrots (which I sampled and they were PERFECT - not too sweet, just the right texture. I had the fried cod - it had a great, light ,crisp batter. I highly recommend - especially for shift workers, because Ganymead is open late!

Great spot for late night dining. Chef Ben is hospitable and inviting. Awesome alternative for us late shift folks that want something a little more gourmet than normal fast food options.

Amazing food at a great price. I had the oven roasted chicken and it was perfect. My family enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and fried chicken. Cocktails were also well-prepared and tasted great! I'll be back here many times, I'm sure.

Very well done basic food with lots of heart. A big space to fill, but doesn't quite pull it off just yet. I have known for a while that this place decided to take the shoes of the former shady glenn, with decent reviews and a desire to try out new things, I made the trek to this location to give it a try. It's not much of a looker. The area around it is worn down, parking spots are barely lined and the lights in the parking lot are in various states of function. There's some signs indicating that they are open, but the immediate curb appeal is a little limited. The inside is pretty nice. They did a good job in making the space feel more open and inviting compared to the cramped space that shady glenn had. The single chef in his reds was hastily plugging away at his dishes, cooking feverously while also trying to man the front of the shop. Eventually he was able to go to our table and drop off a menu along with a basked of freshly buttered popcorn to munch on. A welcome treat, which was good but a little messy. the popcorn was popped plain and seasoned afterwards, which makes for a slightly soggier bite. Eventually his backup staff came in, a single lady who was suppose to be holding down the drinks and front of house. She comes over and we order. I opt for the pork cutlet and mac n cheese, while the girlfriend opted for the pasta with meat sauce. We then proceed to watch the chef rapidly go from back to front, getting everything prepped and cooked up while we watched. The chef really needs a very close-by fridge or cooler. the amount of running back and forth was tiring to watch. I am very glad that he was working hard for his guests, but there are easier ways. It also took our food a good 30 minutes to come up because we literally watched him make it. By the time he's done, we get two pretty decent sized plates of food. The pasta was good, the meat sauce was very tasty. the beef and pork were very tender and the sauce was not overpowering but ever present. The mac and cheese was a little gritty, I suspect the sauce was starting to separate by the time things got served up. The pork cutlet was fresh and fried well. it needed a little more seasoning and it needed to be a little better trimmed. but it was a good cut. The carrot and cranberry slaw was fresh, sweet, and tart. It was way too big of a portion though. a quarter of that would've been more acceptable. The price was incredibly affordable, the two plates coming out to about 24 bucks. I felt a little bad to get such good quality for so cheap. I give this place a 4 because although the price is great, the service is good, and the quality is good, it's not much of a looker, it took a while for food to actually come out, and there was some execution errors. What I would like to see happen here is that the chef features a few different dishes each night, but that's all he serves. No extensive menu, just a few basic options that one can select. As dishes gain in popularity, he can feature those dishes and build out his menu that way. Also by keeping his menu very light, it will help keep the food costs down since he won't have a lot of overhead. It will also build that reoccurring business by encouraging repeat business to try the "new thing". That combined with a strong social media presence and a constant stream of "Now serving" posts, they would be able to make themselves a strong dining option for the area. For now, they are worth a try if you're in the area. The food's good, the staff is nice, and the ambiance is not bad inside. It's sparse, but in time I would imagine this place will shine bright

Ben & company friggin ROCK!!! We crept up on Ganymead last night and immediately felt welcomed into the space. On any given night it could be quiet or could be filled with happy people eating and drinking. It was great that it was quiet last night because we got the intimate feel and were able to chat with Ben, Logan and...yikes! We forgot her name Anyways, there's a pool table, a hike box that has RECENT MUSIC!!! Like the past 2 decades for sure-Thank goodness!! So we danced and ate away to good Ol Doja Cat Art from local artists like the walls and they're for sale too!! The layout is open which allows us to see Chef Ben preparing our dishes. We tried: Pasta with meat sauce (real pieces of beef, pork and mushrooms). Chicken with mac and cheese (a simple but version that does the job FOR SURE!) and the chicken was drizzled with an orange ginger glaze!! Fried Fish and potato wedges Cranberry BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, which is definitely to die for! The drinks were generous: Jolly Rancher Limeade We can wait to go back for more late night eats! And maybe a lil karaoke to come!! Negroni
